Hi. I'm Mike Spradling, a farmer/rancher from Tulsa County, and president of the board of directors of Oklahoma Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company and AgSecurity Insurance Company. We started selling insurance because back in the 1940s, after the hard times of the 1930s, rural people had a difficult time finding insurance coverage for their farms and ranches. We stepped in to fill that need for rural Oklahoma. We like to think we played an important part in the development of Oklahoma. Of course, we sell insurance in urban areas, too.
